I have a problem. I can’t stop thinking about websites. Sites to start, develop, maintain, and sell. Articles to put on sites. Keywords to research. The list goes on.
Today I was actually going to write about something else. I’m sitting out by the pool noticing things. Noticing people. Wondering if people are noticing me. Ok, stop. I’m talking about girls. I’m sitting at the pool looking and thinking about girls.
Even now it’s hard to write. The breeze is blowing off and on, so that just when it’s about to get hot, the wind comes back and cools you off. Earlier the clouds were coming and going, too. But now it’s all sun.
Anyways, back to the story (or whatever you want to call this). I was checking out the scenery here at the pool. It’s an apartment pool, but it’s really more like a resort. The pool sits inside the complex; some of the apartments surround the pool from the sides and from above. Their balconies look down on us. The sales force here at my apartment charges more for these poolside villas. But I have a cheaper unit that looks out onto some construction.
More girls keep coming out with their towels and giant stunner shades. I really just wanted to write about these girls at the pool.
But all I can think about are websites. Is there a site that focuses only on girls at the pool? If not I should start it. It would really only need pictures of hot girls sitting, relaxing, reading and swimming at the pool. You could have a free, PG-13 version and a paid section that is NSFW.
Girlsatthepool.com. Great domain, but the two t’s together are annoying. But it is keyword rich and brandable. It has to be taken already. I’d check if I was in front of my computer.
There are so many possibilities for this. You could create a MySpace page with hot girl at the pool pictures and easily get thousands of friends. Create a facebook group. Start a blog. Hell, start a social network and have a points/rating system. Get advertisers and rake in the money.
Imagine the scenario: You’re standing at the bar. You’ve got your cash in hand or tab already open and you’ve had a few drinks already so you’re not brand new. Do you get served? No, you stand there and watch everyone around you get served.
The scene above was me on Saturday night. I was caught in that dead zone of service and was starting to sober up. After realizing my buzz was gone I got fed up and just walked away. That’s never a good thing. A simple solution would have been to add a third bartender. I would have continued drinking and continued spending money. The image below depicts what should have happened.
You can’t always account for short sighted management, but you can’t let it get in your way of your drinking either. The solution is to observe the bartenders’ habits. Where do they look first, who are the people getting served the fastest? Find that sweet spot at the bar and attack it. If all else fails send your girl to get the booze.
If you spill beer on a girl, say, “I’m sorry, I was just trying to cool you off…” Works like a charm every time. She’ll laugh and say it’s ok, and then you’re in. If she doesn’t laugh, she sucks and probably isn’t worth talking to anyways.
How many times have you started getting close with a girl, and then realize that she thinks you are supposed to serve her 24/7? Especially for things that guys don’t really have any business doing, like providing emotional support.
Don’t let yourself be interrupted. Next time you just gotta set the bar and say, “I don’t provide emotional support during the workday.”
